AI Agencies in Singleplayer (Kerbal / Alien?)

With KSP1 I felt "alone" as they live on a big world, yet only one space agency on the planet or in the entire universe.

Did the developers said anything about AI agencies in singleplayer? Would love to have them as an option that you can select and even possible how many AI you start with or even a new agency appears sometime during the game. Have competition to be the first reach space.. land on the moon etc. 

Next to that, will we see possible "Alien" remains while we explore the universe, perhaps even encounter them?

I wouldn't rule out AI agencies once multiplayer gets implemented and the functionality is there, but I think it's unlikely as a stock feature.

Aliens?  I don't think there will be any 'intelligent' Aliens like NPCs that can be properly interacted with, but evidence of earlier intelligent life is already there with the anomalies.
