Anth
KSP2 Version: 0.1.0.0.20892 KSP2 Version: 0.1.1.0.21572 KSP2 Version: 0.1.2.0.22258 Operating System: Windows 10 CPU+GPU+RAM: i9 9900K+3070ti+32GB Mods Used: None Issues covered in this bug report: Control point doesn't reset to the undocked craft. Choosing docking ports on the other craft after the undocking displays "Control From Here" when they should be "Set Target" except for the one undocked from. That it is an intermittent problem. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it doesn't. I have supplied two save files for the same craft here for comparison and 1 for testing: Bugged Undocking: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ody5j8pcq4v4c3z/UndockingIncorrect.zip?dl=0 Correct Undocking: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v2k5wygnrf73176/UndockCorrect.zip?dl=0 Video Evidence: Spoiler https://youtu.be/CkJ-4wmDF5s (23 Seconds) How to Replicate: Load save file: UndockingIncorrect Set Control Point to a radial direction. Undock Craft with Pod (notice control point doesn't reset to the undocked craft. Note no little glitch in the navball) Attempt to 'set target' for other craft's docking ports other than the one that was undocked from (will indicate "Control From Here") Attempt to 'set target' for the docking port that the Craft with the Pod undocked from. (will indicate the correct "Set Target") That it is an Intermittent Problem (Video Evidence of inconsistent fails and passes over a few minutes): Spoiler Video Evidence: I have 11 Undocks and Redocks in this video which are all timestamped so the entire video doesn't need to be watched from beginning to end. Order of Pass/Fail: Fail, Fail, Pass, Pass, Fail, Pass, Fail, Pass, Fail, Fail, Pass. https://youtu.be/SZggT4DB2oY (2 Minutes 15 Seconds) Things to note for the video evidence for this: When the undocking 'fails' the following happens: The undocking has no pause (it doesn't reset its control point here. Note no little glitch in the navball) The parts manager doesn't hide all the parts information When undocking 'passes': There is a pause before undocking happens (it resets its control point here. Note glitch in the navball) The parts manager hides all the parts information. Log Files and Locations for Passed and Failed Undocking From Video: Spoiler Log Files (Ksp2.log+Player.log): https://www.dropbox.com/s/oj3zbm70yy2vwg0/Ksp2%2BPlayer.zip?dl=0 Locations in the Log Files for When the Undocking Occurred: Ksp2.log: Line 1664 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1693 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1722 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1776 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1830 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1859 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1913 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1942 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1996 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 2025 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 2054 Destroying Joint: Pass Player.log: Line 1698 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1727 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1756 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1810 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1864 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1893 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 1947 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 1976 Destroying Joint: Pass Line 2030 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 2059 Destroying Joint: Fail Line 2088 Destroying Joint: Pass Work Around: Save and Reload. Additional Information: Comparing save files seems to show docked crafts are inverted somehow. I just cant read it to know why thats causing the problem. Also Tested in 0.1.0.0 and 0.1.1.0. Same Problem. Edited June 1, 2023 by Anth12
