Below I Have Tested 3 Different Sizes with Video Evidence and Save Files Attached:

  • Connected to ibeams big and small (Normal)
  • Connected to a Big tank (X200-64) (Obvious Unwanted Bounce)
  • Connected to the Biggest Tank (S4-51200) (Massive Bounce)

Normal Result:

Spoiler

Video Evidence:

Save File From Video:

Result:
No bounce.

Big Tank (X200-64):

Save File From Video:

Result:
Obvious undesirable bounce.

Biggest Tank (S4-51200):

Spoiler

Video Evidence:

Save File From Video:

Result:
Huge Bounce.

Additional Information:

  • The BigTankTestCraft craft file (X200-64) if the root part is moved to the girder segment of the rover it drops normally but the biggest tank (S4-51200) the rover still bounces way into the air.
  • Adding more tanks gave inconsistent results which makes me think it might be related to the heaviest part, not the the mass of the entire craft.
  • Suspension appears to return to normal if the game is saved and reloaded.
  • 0.1.0.0 using the 0.1.2.0 craft files acts a little differently.
  • 0.1.1.0 using the 0.1.2.0 craft files acts about the same as 0.1.2.0.
