Anth
KSP1 Version: 1.12.5.3190 KSP2 Version: 0.1.2.0.22258 Operating System: Windows 10 CPU+GPU+RAM: i9 9900K+3070ti+32GB Mods Used: None Three Sections for this one: Section 1: Shows how the Pitch/Yaw works via the indicators in KSP1 compared to KSP2 Spoiler In the following two videos: Look for what the Pitch/Yaw indicators are doing when there is normal control vs precision control. KSP1 bottom left of the screen: https://youtu.be/pamiJyerPcI (16 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7lwaskhlddi9y46/KSP1RWvsRCSPrecisionControl.sfs?dl=0 KSP2 on the Navball: https://youtu.be/98HiyJkT92c (12 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/betijdle9ejrzuj/KSP2RWvsRCSPrecisionControl.zip?dl=0 What I noticed: Note how the KSP1 video shows that the Pitch/Yaw is analog. Also it can still get to their (non precision) maximums just in a dampened manner. Note how the KSP2 video shows that the Pitch/Yaw is digital (off/on) and can't get to their maximums like KSP1. KSP1 in my opinion does this better. Section 2: Shows how Reaction Wheels work in KSP1 vs KSP2 Spoiler In the following two videos: Look for a limited response in KSP2 verses KSP1 KSP1: https://youtu.be/z5a0cETLGnQ (22 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v0ajl7q8frpetg5/KSP1RWTestSave.sfs?dl=0 KSP2: https://youtu.be/jByHOLhCyzI (25 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jy1mkpol21t7agv/0120RWTestSave.zip?dl=0 The digital (off/on) way that KSP2 does this is what is limiting the reaction wheels from Section 1. Section 3: KSP2 vs KSP1 RCS under Precision Control which is actually pretty good. Spoiler How KSP2 Does it: https://youtu.be/9aq_cabcPRo (12 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6uja9neu35n6t1s/0120RCSPrecisionModeTest.zip?dl=0 How KSP1 Does it: https://youtu.be/ftGuQpM9vRs (15 Seconds) Save File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v0ajl7q8frpetg5/KSP1RWTestSave.sfs?dl=0 RCS Precision control is a bit different: KSP1 RCS is limited. Which I would never want to change. KSP2 RCS works similar to KSP1 which is good. Well good when the RCS directional issues are addressed: Conclusion: Reaction Wheels need to still access their potential maximum Pitch/Yaw/Roll in a dampened way like KSP1 does it (Make it Analog). RCS just needs to stay the same or similar to what it is already other than input issues (3 bug reports I put in Section 3) Edited June 2, 2023 by Anth12
