VAB is nuts!

I'm attempting to rebuild my land speeders and in the last couple of days my symmetry doesn't work correctly and neither does the number amount. If I use symmetry for a wing it'll put the opposing wing in the floor or nowhere or something stupid like that.  Also, is there anyway of getting those wrench icons off ? Their really annoying when trying to build something a little intricate.

Sometimes symmetry gets wonky if you put something mirrored on something radially placed. Similarly, sometimes it will let me put something radially onto mirrored parts, resulting in some wonky separations and ultimate failure. 

As far as wrenches are concerned, I agree that they should be toggled.
