About the trail of rocket engines

After the release of patch 0.1.3, while launching another rocket (this time with more FPS), I noticed a rather strange behavior of the trail from the rocket engines.

If someone hasn't guessed, I mean turning this trail along with the rocket.
I have little experience in unity development and I understand why it works this way and how it is implemented.
But, imagine how cool it would be if the trace from the engines did not rotate with the rocket and followed the laws of physics, or, at least, had its own inertia

I mean... guys.. ksp1 already works this way

This behavior will be implemented, yea?..

They did a system for that sometimes ago:

Maybe it wasn't good enough for them and decided to scrap it for now.

We also know they will work on plumes again (From Nate Simpson):

I think it's more about visuals than physical behavior and in the gif above, most likely just the effect of the direction of the thrust vector, but not the rotation of the rocket itself. Also noticed that they using mesh scaling, it's impossible to implement KSP1 smoke's behavior with mesh scaling, they'll have to use particles and it is a lot of work, if current smoke also works with mesh scaling as fire plume

Hi All,
Good call out. This is on the list.

Attaching the particles to the local space of the engine is not the intended final result. We will improve engine exhaust effects in the future. What may seem like a straightforward solution gets really tricky under the hood.
