This is on an Alienware Aurora R4...

Program will start, run up to the load save screen. At which point it thinks hard for a few moments and crashes to desktop.

Logs indicate missing resources.

Your system is below minimum specs. Not by much but enough.

I recommend the following:
Download and install the latest nvidia drivers
Drop your resolution as far as you can get it.

That might allow it to work, but you are still most likely going to have issues.

I do know about the high bar and my machine's rating. I also recall the devs saying that the limits should drop over time somewhat as they improved the code. Which was my hope for this sim. I do have late-model Nvidia drivers and a current BIOS.

I had hoped to port my autopilot system written in KOS from KSP1 to KSP2 - my background includes work in simulation and guidance systems. I'd found MechJeb unable to stabilize some designs properly. Using my autopilot on the rocket, just swapping out MJ for my stuff and g-force plus accelerometer sensors allowed for completely hands-free launch to orbit. The rocket flew like it was on rails.

Based on what you are saying, Anth12, it is more likely that my investment in KSP2 was futile.

Hopefully it's just a matter of waiting until the game is better.
