I need to refuel my plane

I made a fuel truck and an airplane, trying with the help of an engineer to connect the fuel hose from the truck to the plane and nothing happens. Is there any way to transfer fuel from the tank of a truck to the tank of an airplane? (No Mods)

By "nothing happens" I mean that the hose doesn't connect

You have to use an engineer to connect hoses. And you'll have to use a mod, such as KAS/KIS. That's the only way to get a pipe to work correctly. The other way would be to use a docking port. I've been refueling aircraft since 0.24. It remains the only way to do it in the original game. Maybe they'll add those features in KSP2.

Thank you for your reply! I tried installing mods but they turned out to be not compatible with version 1.12.5 and my plane and world are not compatible with the available versions of mod 1.12.3 lol. So I created a gateway with robotics that allows me to flexibly control the docking module in any planes and I pump with RMB on first fuel tank and alt + RMB on second fuel tank where I want to pump fuel.

Huh.  I have used both hoses and the claw to refuel.  The hoses are finicky and do not always work, but the claw always works once a fuel transfer setting is changed in the main menu.  Never used a docking port for fuel. 

KIS/KAS works better and I recommend it.  The best way to get it is to use CKAN as that will install it and all its dependencies.  It works fine on v.12.5 and is compatible with it.
