Mikki`s guide of "cheesy" constructions

The scope of this thread is to show how the parts in KSP2 can be "cheesed" to do things they aren`t supposed to or are just hard to work with. And to expand the possibilitys how the game can be played and be worked around the given constraints in the vanilla software. I may aswell show how to assemble things properly in the VAB so that the software swallows it and the craft can be launched without bugging out. This thread is not meant to spoil anything but to share interesting facts along the given stockparts.

Anyone feel free to participate and show the forum members how you trick the game. Please for ease of use follow the concept of my first entries, name your construction (or what it does), name KSP2 version number, name the used parts (and size) and explain as efficient as possible what the assembly does (or not). Please do not post excessive amounts of pics, but if needed so, put them in spoilers. Open the parts manager menu in the VAB aside the assembly, thank you.

I will maintain a register in this first post so visitors can easy be linked to the desired entry of interest and author.

Interstage fairing and shielded capsule, EA 0.2.0.0 (See parts manager menu)

Fairings can connect to most round parts, it still needs a bit of trial and error until it snaps. We can create large spaces by attaching an engine mount upside down and shifting it to the desired distance, then place the fairing around the content, don`t forget to disable the shroud on the engine mount and set the fairing to clamshell deploy. Same goes with decouplers, i use to make atmospheric entry pods by attaching a heatshield, make sure the COM is close to the shield when throwing it at planets. ;)
