The next generation of space exploration.

 

Our First Step II is designed by the international space community on Earth. Kerbals come together and make diagrams, planning what the station might look like in the future. The station is designed to be a safe haven for LEO crews and even a gateway to other near-Earth locations.

The next mission wouldn't be until 2011 — the space agency was more interested in other things but we're back to launching modules!

I started this station a little while back but there's only one module in orbit at the moment so I figured I'd document the rest. This save is not accurate to real life history and launches may not be accurate.

STS-2 Mission to OFS-II

Shuttle Columbia launched Periapsis Rocketry's OrbLab with a T-junction. The t-junction will be used to attach two of ExperiMENTAL Engineering's OLCompanion modules, completing another stage of assembly for the station.
