trailer and articulated parts

unless there is some way of towing different portions separately and detaching portions, or having one vehicle turning as if there were trailers... please let me know.

Well.. kinda. In KSP1 you could sort of cheat your way out of this by using docking ports - their magnets would usually keep them in position without connecting if something was blocking their way (I did that).

Here though.. the docking port trick doesn't work because ports clip through everything in their way to dock. So you have to come up with a fifth wheel of sorts using available parts. ( I just spent an hour trying various approaches with mixed results, so your mileage may vary)
