Unlocks of the 5m fairing and mounting plates

Hi, I just reached the Tier 4 research in my first exploration mode playthrough and  would like to give some feedback.
Personally, I find it rather odd that the both the 5m Payload fairing and the 5m Engine mounting Plate are unlocked this late in the tech tree, considering the lack for 5m engines so far and that it seems a bit unrealistic to transport 5m trusses in a 3.75m payload fairing.
My personal suggestion for the unlock nodes of these two parts would be:

• 5m Engine Mounting Plate: unlocked in the "XL Methalox Tanks" node, as this is the first node that that unlocks 5m parts
• 5m Payload Fairings: unlocked in "XL Construction", as this is the node that currently unlocks the 5m nosecone

I agree that the fairings should unlock much earlier than the cargo bays, I say the same time as long fuel tanks for size. For a long time I had to launch mun rockets who had an 2.5 meter core stage but then go down to 1.25 m for the fairing and the diameter of lander was well above 2.5 meter.

Its the same as the last two rover wheels being unlocked at the same time on the last rover node in tier 4.

I agree.  The tech tree needs some work. We have the same size parts strewn around all the tiers. There also isn’t a way to search the tech tree so I have no idea where parts are even located that I need.

If one unlocks medium size engines, then adapters and fairings that fit medium sized engines should all be located in that same tier.
