Burn timer seems wrong - intercepts too difficult?

Recommended Posts

I set up a manoevre to get an intercept with Duna.
The Dv required was 1082. The Dv available from my engines was 4117 (see diag1)

As I burned, the time required for the burn kept increasing, and by the time I had used 1082 Dv from my fuel Dv available for engines was 3056 (diag2),

so I was 21 Dv  over. The time to burn says 00 but the yellow line in the burn timer shows there is still time left to burn. I had overshot by 21 Dv, but hadn't gained an intercept.
Anyone any idea what's going on? What am I doing wrong?

Check out the FP forum.. or maybe it was discussed in Discord.

The in game calculator is bugged or some mechanic of FP.

The way it determines DV per stage is messed up somehow in the total Factoring of maneuver.

One of the recommendations for interstellar Homan transfers is to set the node... then delete the node .

Time warp to a point within 24 hours of your planned maneuver and automate the node generation again.

One thing I notice alot

on the burn insicator..  the little S3 indication pf when fuel of runs out on current stage moves.

I don't really know if this issue is what is relating to you problems. But many people fight that issue.
