Creating maneuver nodes when time is paused

So, I've seen people experiencing the problem where the game will not let you create maneuver nodes when time is paused, but I'm certain that it's a bug since in the tutorial part of the game where you're trying to create a maneuver for an orbit, it automatically stops time, and yet it doesn't work. Is there a way we can prompt a fix to this? On April 25th, they released a post saying talking about upcoming improvements, including specifically "

  • Maneuver nodes refuse to allow the player to plan beyond the calculated Delta-V allowance, which in many cases is an incorrect value

This isn't the same problem as I'm describing, but I wouldn't prompt for them to fix not being able to plan a node when time is stopped. Anyone else bothered by this?

This has been reported a while ago, and seems to be treated as either "works as intended" or is blocked by some other issue, as it hasn't been fixed.

Given that there is at most a skeleton crew still supporting KSP2, unless this just happens to be in the version Intercept was getting ready for release before layoffs (and which might still be rolled out), then you're out of luck on it getting fixed for a foreseeable future.

Maneuvering Node Controller mod might allow you to modify nodes while the game is paused. That might be your best option. (If that does, indeed, work as a workaround.)

For the game we have now: you can usually plan missions such that you have plenty of time at 1x speed to mess with maneuver nodes as you approach them.  The key exception being circularization after launch, depending on what your launch looked like.  For launches from Kerbin, I always went for 100 km orbits, just to give myself plenty of time between leaving atmosphere and reaching Ap, as I had problems with that in 80km orbits.  Hope that helps,as the game is unlikely to change.

I know you're joking, but I think it's funny you picked the one place where pausing the game to do things would be weird at best and likely disabled.
