[AAR] The Grand Tour - Voyage To The Planets

Just thinking aloud...

They return to Kerbin. KSC is pissed as hell and tries to take Proteus by force. Obviously, the crew doesn't appreciate this. After dumping Rozer in Kerbin orbit, they make a run for it, given that the entire space program is hard on their heels.

Beyond that...no clue.

I actually really like this idea, the idea of such a mission becoming a fugitive runaway mission greatly interests me, and I would like to do that for the story.

Maybe even have Rozer tag along, and become a large part of the mission and become a (gasp) good guy.

They find things on Jool's moons and come home years later with SCIENCE and the story closes.

This idea reminds of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon when you are betrayed by your own friends and are forced to leave your life behind and become fugitives and travel the world to escape.

Oh? Thats just me thinking aloud, silly me.

Whatever way, I would really like to see the story follow this arc. :)

Whichever way they go the story will continue in light of the continued secrecy. But one thing, as people do seem to be changing their opinions on the ship, I'd say make something unusual... which ever way the vote goes it actually ends unanimously! Whatever happens it might actually start to get the crew back together again (until the next disaster)

I say they should go to Jool. Jeb, Ned, and Sid have to face the monster from the past that is Jool, if nothing else. That and Laythe would be the logical place to search for any alien SCIENCE since it's Kerbin-like.

Laythe is far from Kerbin-like. Laythe is a radioactive wasteland.

It would be in our world, but in Karbal Universe things may be different...

I honestly don't really know if they should abort or not, but I think aborting (well at least trying to^^) would bring a nice twist to the story.

Duna. For science.

That's the spirit! :)

Marvelous stuff, marvelous.

i have just finished reading it all, and i have to say, it is most impressive. keep it up.

Thank you, I appreciate it - have you read the "Jool of Kerbol system" as well?

Thanks to everybody who shared his thougts about the decision which has to be made by the crew of "Proteus". Right now I'm writing the Space Race but the next chapter of the Grand Tour should be expected during this weekend as well.

Why yes, yes I did. I'm also reading your other running AAR and you made me scour the local library for works of Stanisław Lem. Turns out we have some translated. Lovely stuff.

That's great! If you are going to read Lem thanks to my humble writings, well, it really makes me very happy :)

why is everyone voting for what they do when it is the crews (not the veiwers :sticktongue:) choice? :P

I dunno, I asked for "thoughts" about the issue, not "votes" :P I read them all of course and there are few interesting ideas though...
