SheepDog2142
Parallax Continued Support for KSRSS Reborn and Homeworld - Initial Release SheepDog Institute is excited to announce the initial release of the Parallax Continued Support for KSRSS Reborn and Homeworld compatibility mod. This custom configuration brings compatibility between Parallax Continued and KSRSS Reborn or KSRSS Homeworld, bringing enhanced terrain rendering and visual fidelity to the real solar system experience. This release is just the beginning, and I look forward to future updates and improvements. This mod was made closely with both Ballisticfox and Linx who both have given me permission to post the mod for everyone's enjoyment. Mods Required: Parallax Continued by Linx KSRSS Reborn or Homeworld by Ballisticfox GitHub: https://github.com/Sheepdog2142/ParalaxContinued-KSRSS-SDI Follow install Instructions on Github! What to Expect: Parallax Continued Support and Custom configs for KSRSS: Experience breathtaking terrain and surface features across the entire solar system, from the lush landscapes of Earth to the craters of the Moon and beyond. Realistic Terrain Interactions: Improved collision detection and detailed surface textures make landing and rover exploration feel more immersive and lifelike. High-Quality Surface Features: Enjoy enhanced terrain detail with high-resolution textures, making every mountain, canyon, and plain look spectacular. Fully Compatible with KSRSS: This mod will integrate seamlessly with the Kerbalized Real Solar System mod, keeping the essence of the KSP experience while boosting the visual fidelity. Why This Matters: Parallax adds a level of immersion that truly transforms the look and feel of the game, and extending that to KSRSS has been a passion project of mine. If you’re someone who loves the realism of KSRSS but wants to experience it with top-tier graphics, this upcoming support mod is for you! What’s Next: Now that the initial release is out development is still ongoing, and I’ll be sharing progress updates, screenshots, and more sneak peeks as things come together. Currently there is support for Earth, Moon, Mars and mercury with textures working for other bodies. Progress is ongoing for ground scatter of additional bodies. Parallax Continued Support for KSRSS will be available for everyone, 100% free just like my other projects. Stay tuned for more details, and as always, thank you for your incredible support! Redleg1
Are there any more specific instructions on getting this to work with KSRSS Reborn or Homeworld? I have tried every combination of deleting config files in the KSRSS/Terrain folder. I've tried deleting the whole KSRSS/Terrain/Scatters folder. Whenever this mod is installed, it is infinite fast spinning solar system after the game finishes loading.

Redleg1
Yeah I can do that. Though maybe not today as I'll have to reinstall the whole thing because I gave up and went back to a stock game to be able to use Parallax Continued. I'll try another round though. Would it be better to send the logs in here or Discord? Edited October 6, 2024 by Redleg1
SheepDog2142
Updated support for KSRSS Reborn due to broken links for KSRSS textures. Added Occlusion support for Earth, Mars, Luna, and Mercury.
Dixiecapt
Greetings. I have installed twice KSRSS and Parallax Continued along with Parallax Continued-KSRSS-SDI. When I get within the Moons Sphere of Influence I get Crippling lag. I have a high end machine. Is there a known fix for this? Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Pxtseryu
Unsure how this hasn't been posted until now, but Mars is entirely broken with this configuration. Verified that your configs are the problem as the issue is resolved upon an uninstall. > [EXC 14:51:49.840] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object > PQSMod_VertexHeightNoiseVertHeightCurve2.OnVertexBuildHeight (PQS+VertexBuildData data) (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > PQS.Mod_OnVertexBuildHeight (PQS+VertexBuildData data, System.Boolean overrideQuadBuildCheck) (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > PQS.GetSurfaceHeight (Vector3d radialVector, System.Boolean overrideQuadBuildCheck) (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > PQS.GetSurfaceHeight (Vector3d radialVector) (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > Vessel.PQSAltitude () (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > Vessel.UpdatePosVel () (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > VesselPrecalculate.MainPhysics (System.Boolean doKillChecks) (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > ModularFI.ModularVesselPrecalculate.MainPhysics (System.Boolean doKillChecks) (at <b988c8a28ef847e1b0f80a66bb19ef8b>:0) > VesselPrecalculate.FixedUpdate () (at <4b449f2841f84227adfaad3149c8fdba>:0) > UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) > ModuleManager.UnityLogHandle.InterceptLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) > UnityEngine.Debug:CallOverridenDebugHandler(Exception, Object) Edited Monday at 10:30 PM by Pxtseryu
