The title says it, but i don't know where to make a brand new profile, i can't do it in-game.

One cfg file can contain multiple TUFX profiles. I suggest not editing existing cfg files of profiles you downloaded, and instead use your own personal cfg file.

  • Close KSP.
  • Use a text editor to open an existing profile:
    • Either GameData\TUFX\Profiles\TUFX-Default.cfg, or if you want to start from someone else's profile you'll have to track down the relevant cfg.
    • Save As to give it a new filename.
    • Delete the profiles you don't want. (Make sure you are editing the new filename you just saved)
    • Rename the profile(s) that you want to keep. For example, if you started with TUFX-Default.cfg, look for "name = Default-Flight" and change it to something like "name = mrneon-Flight"
    • Save your changes in the text editor.
  • Restart KSP. The new profile should show in game.
  • You can then use TUFX to edit the new profile.

Thank you very much.
