You need to decouple the part from it's original mount before it'll move. The arm should attach to the part when it's fixed to the shuttle (by a decoupler or docking port), lock the controls, then you should decouple the connection originally holding it in place, which would free the controls and allow you to move the part. If it doesn't work, bug Romfarer.

Are you going to integrate Bobcats updated Progress and Soyuz when you update the Soviet Pack? Also will apply those updates to the other Soyuz capsules and possibly even the Buran? Im talking about the reentry effects and the IVA's?

Nope, there will be separate packs, as announced before. Reentry effects are model work, and unrealistic on a spaceplane anyway. Old Soyuz will no longer be supported, it doesn't have an equivalent in reality anyway. LOK... I'm not sure what will become of it. If BobCat upgrades them, they'll be updated.

I apologize, forgive me I am confused. Are you gutting the Soviet pack and releasing it into separate packs? Or are you just updating it. Don't you need the LOK for the N-1? The old Soyuz meaning the green one? Why aren't you gonna support it. I understand its kinda redundant since the TMA is there but if you want to recreate the ASTP don't you need that old Soyuz. Like I said I am kinda confused as to what the status of the Historical packs are. I know you are working with Bobcat to update them and such but what exactly are you going to do with them.

I doubt it, and since spaceport was taken down (although they saved all the mods) I don't think that bobcat would upload them to curse soon.

Update: bobcats license allows for credited reposting. If someone has the packs then they can post them on curse.

Two questions I'm hoping someone can answer:

I'm using the 'beta' Soyuz pack, that just comes with Soyuz-TMA and Progress-M, because I thought it featured some general improvements from the generic Soviet spacecraft pack from Bobcat. Is this still the case with the Soviet 2.0.6 pack? Bobcat's stuff is great, but memory constraints mean I really just want the Soyuz/Progress systems.

Second, does anyone have the configuration file to make that Soviet pack work with BoulderCo's Active Memory Management? It doesn't work with the original Bobcat configuration file because the folder structure is different.

EDIT: Looking at the Soyuz 2.0 in the post above, it looks like the Soyuz and Progress rockets along come in at ~150 mb, almost three times as much as the beta Soyuz pack. Dropping Soyuz-U from it only turns it to about 100 mb I think....yikes. :(

I'm presently using the Soyuz beta to replace the Soyuz from the Soviet Pack 2.0 so I still have and can use Mir parts. It also looks like the LK works with .23.5 as well, but I haven't tested it yet (loads in VAB, but I haven't tried launching it yet).

Active Memory Management should work on all of your mods, it doesn't need config files to affect specific mods. What is the problem?

I was wondering of Soyuz Beta has some normal map exceptions (since most of Bobcat files did), and since the file structure is totally different.

Is there anywhere you can find a reconfiguration of the tech-tree requirements for Bobcat's mods? I noticed a couple MIR pieces don't show up at all and generally you can get too much too soon. I mean, I just unlocked the third level of the tree and already have a 6-manned pod (Orion). I know I can do it myself, but if it has already been done I would prefer to just try that out.
