Well, either split it in two parts and have each one be a docking port, or use a CBM on the "CBM" side.

Also,

referenceAttachNode = top
is not really required. Shielded Clamp-O-tron doesn't have it and it works. It might have something to do with the node at the end of PMA though (note, you can't decouple the PMA node if it's pre-attached). Edited by Guest

so... edit the part.cfg for PMA-1 and REMOVE the entire

MODULE

name = ModuleDockingNode

deployAnimationController = 1

}

section

and instead place CBM on onside and a Mir docking port on the other..... for now?

KerbX Dragon Docking port is the substitution I'm using. Also news from Devo!

Devo says

Pirs Demo Coming Soon.

Also it's a docking object in Unity. So yea he'll fix it, cut him some slack, he's doing/did Unity, Z1, Pirs, Cupola, and PMA-1,2,3

Are you also doing the Poisk, Devo? Turns out it's nearly identical to Pirs, so a texture edit should suffice. Most pictures show Poisk just after arriving on ISS, still covered in insulation blankets, so it seems to be different, but is actually very similar. The only difference I can see is that Pirs has two Strela arms and Poisk has one.

Strela arms do not exist on our module. There're no animations to use it for, so we either make them static, or not there at all.

I guess they could someday be made as a separate part (there were Strela arms on MIR, too) when we get EVA tethering. Anyway, they're not terribly important. This also means Poisk and Pirs will be, for all intents and purposes, identical.

Maybe somebody will make Strela arms after he does that. Romfarer's plugin updates are noticeably infrequent now that he's on the team, so it's not like we're in a hurry.

sorry if any of my posts seemed rough on you guys, I certianly didn't mean it that way.

In fact, I truely enjoy all the work you and all of the team (or any modder for that matter) put into these projects.

I was just trying to work out the probem of docking to so we could test out this pre-alpha version, it seemed that the reason for the issue was not understood.

Not use current version PMA dockport. This spaming console and spamming other dockport.

If you dont use PMA all other dockports work perfectly.

We fix that in other update

If it matters also, if anyone wants static solar panels for the FGB, here's an early dev pic of static ones.

Will be a while. Attachment nodes happen to not be my friend!

Just thought of it, are they only be static panels or are you going to set a special animation for them to be half-folded ?

in this moment KSP no have 2 animation for 1 solar panel object.

that's why I did not do them.

KSP doesn't handle 2 sets of animation at a time but it can have 2 separate animations you can activate each at a separate time. Am I mistaking ?

Ok, I see. So if a part have 2 animations, KSP can't remember which one was activated when you reload the vessel. I understand now. Too bad, I would have loved to have a Zarya module with fully unfolded panels. Meh, minor detail ^^
