hell yes! I'd love to do some long-distance science missions by boat =3 Maybe I could do a circumnavigation twice in one go, taking different routes... ohoho, that'd be fun >=3

I'm IN! I'm excited about the new update, but, I've been toying around with a boat that can make the trip again, that also carries a couple of little something extras.

I love seeing threads like this on the forums. Great work you guys! I've been an avid boat builder in KSP for quite a while, though I've never done any sort of endurance trip like this, I usually build toward the speed challenges. On the subject of taking the metaphorical slow boat, though, I've been thinking about doing a circumnavigation by airship (thanks to Hooligan Labs' mod). Though it's probably going to be on hold for a while since 0.22 is imminent and it requires quite a few mods (airship, kerbal attachment system, firespitter for electric propellers, etc). As a result of all the mods you'd need it also probably wouldn't work as a challenge, but it sounds like a heck of a good time.

I propose we reboot the thread when 0.22 comes out. Include craft files for our boats and course data so others can build on what we do. Oh, and a restart of the Kerbin Geographic Society.

I am there! New thread? Maybe contests to see how much science can be accumulated just on the surface of kerbin without using planes or rockets? Just boats and ground vehicles?
