I was wondering why my Ion Plane werent working so I looked at the solar panels and thought wtf: status: blocked by the mun.

Then i looked to the sun and the mun blocked the sun causing a solar eclipse.

Here a Picture:

In Kerbal Space Program, Solar Eclipses are the ninth most common things you can see on Kerbin. first eight being KSC, Grass, Atmosphere, Ocean, Sand, Mountains, the Mün and Minmus (not necessarily in that order).

Solar Eclipses caused by Minmus... Well that's something else.

That's actually caused a transit. It happens on Mars with Phobos and Deimos.

The mun and the sun are on the same relative plane, so anytime they line up you'll see an eclipse. With real life eclipses they need to line up at the exact time their orbital inclinations cross as well, so it's much more rare. Space is cool!

I've seen one! It was night... Well, maybe it doesn't count :P

But I've seen one on a Mün transfer where Kerbin crossed in front of Kerbol, and I was near enough to the Mün that it makes sense.
