WTH! Game bug or Oporator error?

Today I wanted to try my hand at space docking. While trying to put things in orbit I noticed when I hit escape to leave my space in orbit the game wouldn't allow me to go back to the space station, only exit the flight. The Space Station button was grayed out. So I went to check and make sure I had my throttle off and sas and rsi (whatever the acronym) where off, when I unpaused the game my engines throttled up on their own. So I back the throttle down and tried to go back to the space station and again and it was still grayed out and when I hit escape to unpause it throttled the engine back up again. WTF! So then I had to exit the flight as it was my only option, checked my key bindings to make sure there wasn't and issue there and restarted the game. Sent up another space station and boom does the exact same thing. I'm about to rage on this game. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug? Checked the fourms and can't find anything on it. I checked the game integrity and there wasn't an issue, so now I'm reinstalling.

Do you have a joystick installed? Its throttle setting may be over-riding your keyboard commands.

Possibly a mechjeb A.S.S. mode engaged, possibly a joystick plugged in with throttle up ?

Kerbals on a ladder? Anything under acceleration (ASAS causing more than very small adjustments counts)? Throttle turned up (whether engines are firing or not)?

These things won't allow you to quicksave, so I'm pretty sure they won't let you let the flight keep running while you go back to the space center. There may also be an 'about to crash' sort of barrier to it, as with planets and moons.

Since all my actual solutions have already been posted, it must be gremlins. You're screwed man.

I thought it had something to do with my joystick aswell, but when I reset the key bindings it was still doing it so then I unplugged it entirely and I was still doing it. I tried deleting all local content on steam with no fix. I then went into the steam folder>steamapps> common> and deleted the entire folder. It fixed the problem and hasn't happened yet.

That's really weird. I was going with a stuck shift key...

If it happens again (hopefully not) you could try deleting your settings.cfg file rather than the entire save game as a workaround, but definitely post a bug report. I've not heard of any kind of bug of this type, but someone has to be first to find any bug, you know?

If jebs on board he must have installed Jeb_Antileave.exe on the flight computer, or the kraken was coming for you
