I suddenly found I have for a long time not been using RCS ports…

Well, one the most common tools in real case… now sitting in VAB

Grand Powerful Reaction Wheels did it. :) Although they caused the wobbling problem on large stations…

Maybe it's because all of my ships weren't very massive.

Back to the point:

•Will the reaction wheels consume electricity?

•Will the big torques be moderated?

RCS is really only useful for docking. You don't really need it for anything else.

not really. you also need RCS to move unmanned ships around, if you dont have enough rot power onboard.

but yes, stuff like ASAS modules using electricity seems like a good idea.

Overpowered reaction wheels makes RCS pretty pointless. But relying on reaction wheels that /should be/ prone to malfunction for all course motion, is that a good idea?

Small probes rotates fast enough without, still rotate fast enough with an 18 ton tank and LV-N. Add an main stage still attached and it rotate slowly.

Massive motherships need rcs if they need to turn fast, even if they have reaction wheel torque modules, but they need rcs for docking anyway.

For landers rcs is nice for sideways movement during final decent, work far more easy than tilting the ship to move sideways. However I don't add it on landers who are pretty stable and I don't plan to dock again.
