I have many flight to Mun, but when i return i always landed on random place in Kerbin.

I knew that in real Apollo program re-entry window was very closely calculated, i wonder does anyone ever tried to make perfect Trans-Kerbin Injection to land on pre-determined landing target.

I try to always get my space planes lined up to be able to land on the runway at KSC. With my actual rockets, I sometimes try to get them close to my bases if i need them to be there. A couple of times I have picked them up with rovers, and if they land in the ocean, i pretend that the Kerbal Navy picks them up :P

I don't think the game currently gives you enough information to target a trajectory straight from Trans-Kerbin Injection to a precise landing spot. If I needed that precision, I'd aerobrake into orbit first, then target the landing.

here's a picture of my return from mun SOI on my spaceplane:

It's not directly above KSC, but very close to it. The mission was pretty standard, take a spaceplane up to orbit, dock with a station, relieve the crew that was on the station and come back come. Only thing was, the pilot on the station happened to be Jeb so he decided to take the plane to the mun before returning to home so he did. TMI burn, SOI switch, some manouvering, back to Kerbin SOI and free ride home.

here is the full album
