Longtime lurker finally opens mouth

Hello all! Having been a member of the forums for at least a year, I finally decided to stop hiding in the shadows. I started playing KSP back in the 0.13.3 days, and have been hooked ever since. The game has taught me many things, from orbital mechanics to the science of spaceflight, that I currently put to use in my classes. For my physics class, I had to do a project involving something to better society and science, and I chose to use KSP to simulate a large-scale mission to Mars. All in all, I love the game so far, even with its technical issues. Squad has done a great job, and it keeps getting better.

More and more we see KSP used in the classroom, so you might be interested to know that Squad will work with educators to get KSP into schools!

Just think of how much work your class could get done if they had access to KSP!

Most of my school is already into it. My fault. Heck, the teacher was considering using it to teach orbital mechanics.

Sounds fun, and even though KSP's physics are actually a bit limited, it uses patched conic approximation, the same thing that was used during Apollo to put men on the moon

Yeah, I know. He just wanted to nail in the basics. (How orbits work, gravity, etc.)

Oh yeah, KSP is good for that, thanks to KSP I now know how orbits work, and how objects move in space, it makes it a bit painful to watch most sci-fi now though!
