Hi there from a new astronaut

Hi everybody. I am fairly new to KSP, I just bought it about a month ago and am having a great deal of fun trying to reach various destinations. I am glad it has such a thriving community and I hope to learn a great deal from you all.

What I have achieved so far is shown in the ribbons below, which I will put in my signature as soon as I find out how to make one on here. I am proud to say I have not had a single death in my space program yet, though I am sure it is going to happen at some point.

No deaths is indeed an impressive accomplishment. I wish I had the same record, although I've gotten much better at avoiding some of the more obvious killers.

Welcome to the Forums but holy crap! No deaths and Jool in one month? Great Job, you did a LOT better than me my first time. Jeb died on my first launch xD It took me a month to just land on Mün.

My death-free streak is mostly luck, I think. I have had my fair share of mid-launch explosions but fortunately I managed to get the command pod safely away each time, and I have not yet had a failure on any launch that did not include parachutes.

I am actually rather surprised that the ship I had cobbled together in orbit managed to reach Jool, and if I did not aerobrake into orbit there's no way it would have had enough fuel to decelerate into being captured. My next journey out there is going to be more carefully planned, with a LOT more fuel and less ship.
