Hi there. Although I've been visiting this forum as a visitor/lurker for a while now, it's only recently that I've actually registered. I'm 41 years old and though I'm new to KSP, I've been an avid user of Orbiter Space Flight Simulator since 2002, and have made various add-ons (back when they called them "add-ons", hehe, I think now the fancy word for it is "DLC") for it, esp. Apollo-related stuff. I'm also a member of the Orbiter Forum. I'm looking forward to interacting with you fellows and perhaps asking for help from time to time.

Welcome to the forums!

If you're looking for advice, the "How-To" section is always a good place to start. I've even taken on a project to compile some of the best tutorials I can find into a single repository, called the "Drawing Board" (link in my sig). It's mainly for the benefit of new players, but I'm sure there's a few new tricks in there even for old pros who don't need to ask about how orbital mechanics work.

As for add-ons, KSP is itself quite highly mod-friendly, and the developers encourage users to create them, to the point of hiring some of the best of them to work on the game itself. I'd highly recommend checking out the user add-on forums and the Spaceport, to see what's already been done and (if you're interested) if there's any gaps you might want to fill yourself.
