How would we make a cargo dragon? Take the dragon pod, remove the internals and replace the manned thing with a probe core?

get the KAS mod and add this line of code to the part file

MODULE

{

name = KASModuleContainer

maxSize = 80

}

then the dragon "cargo trunk" will be a real cargo truck :D I set mine to store 200 units. I throw in some extra solar panels and engines and im set ! With this simple code you can make anything a storage hold such as the hitchhiker, science modules, or even a fuel tank LOL

Taki117 do you use Active Texture Management? If so try clearing the Texture Cache in gamedata/ActiveTextureManagement/textureCache/LazTek just delete the folder completely

This is with a stock install. No Active Texture here. (Though I do use it on my other install, but I'm not using the tank there)

Using Hi res or low res version of space x? i had this problem also and i was using the low res. I switched to hi res and it worked fine

Low-res, I seriously doubt my computer could handle High Res.

@Taki117 Did you copy over a old install ? And when did you download it a couple pages back he said you put wrong tank in Low-Res but should be fixed now you might try and redownload ?

EDIT and delete old install.

Nope, didn't copy over an old install. Downloaded it on the 22nd. I will redownload and see if that fixes things.

Edit: Yep that fixed things, thank you all!

Edit 2: The Falcon 9 Main tank is still having the expanding bug. (Again, fresh install, just downloaded)

I'm about to put out a patch update for both mods that includes these fixes:

- Fixed expanding main tank in regular-res version

- Fixed lack of fuel tanks on SHERPA in Dragon 2 build

- Added correct exhaust and smoke points to SuperDraco and PulseDraco engines

- Fixed "Abort" on Dragon builds

- Changed Dragon Chute with higher drag and lower deploy altitude

- "8" key opens and closes nose cone on Dragon Explorer build

Are there any other issues I need to address in this patch?

I have a low res pack that I'm going to post up shortly that uses only 80MB for both packs, so that should help. The logos look pretty grainy, but it should allow anyone to use it.

When can we expect this low res pack to be available? Not to rush you or anything, Just politely asking.:cool:

I used Photoshop to do the texture reduction on each image and found considerably better results than just using Unity's reduction function, so the low res version is now hopefully of acceptable quality and will be part of my update I'm releasing after testing tonight.

Yes - I saw those a few months back. The dimensions I'm working with now (scaled down to Kerbal size) are from the description Elon Musk recently gave on the unnamed (but we shall call it "Falcon XX", since they called it that in the Powerpoint presentation they gave years ago) launch platform for the Mars Colonial Transporter.

From Wikipedia:

SpaceX engine development head Tom Mueller said SpaceX would use nine Raptor engines on a single rocket, similar to the use of nineMerlin engines on each Falcon 9 booster core. He said "It's going to put over 100 tons of cargo on Mars."[10] The large rocket core that will be used for thebooster to be used with MCT will be 10 meters (33 ft) in diameter, nearly three times the diameter and over seven times the cross-sectional area of theFalcon 9 booster cores.

Update,

I've tested and all seems fine. I can declare the LR pack a complete success. It has reduced the memory requirements dramatically, without compromising quality. The pack as usual, looks awesome. Even better than most mods running under ATM.

Again, thanks very much for making the LR pack available. I can officially say that this is now the number one mod on my list.
