Fenris
Finished assembling "Laythe Station" from the three main ships of my Jool mission (frozen at .24).http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/cmdrzoom/KSP/laythe-station1.jpghttp://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/cmdrzoom/KSP/laythe-station2.jpgMy framerate. (If you want a better look at Veda 2, which is at the far end in both of these shots, here's how it looked at launch. Note that it's since shed those probes and inflated the centrifuge.)That's an awesome station! I love all the detail. My computer would get 3 fps if I was lucky
Goddess Bhavani
I actually did quite a lot today although I don't have many cool things to share I was bringing my fresh 1.0.4 career game to par with my 1.0.2 progress, did 'maintenance' of a craft file to bring it to 1.0.4 specs, made a video of the micro-shuttle doing a rescue mission (and video showcasing re-entry heating kept in check by a radiator panel). I also made small changes to my 50ft fishing boat / coastal research vessel and put it up on SketchFab.

Grumman
I started a new game, edited my save file to give myself approximately the same funds and science as I had before the cleanup and started building ships. Here's my first orbital ferry:
Frank_G
I finally had the breakthrough i needed and finished the Arrowhead X4B Nano SSTO spaceplane. The craftfile is available in my craftfile thread (link in signature). While not being as performant as its predecessor in .90, it easily makes it to Kerbin orbit and back. Getting to orbit from the surface of Laythe is even more easy, so it is a good companion for a Jool-5 mission. Wolf Baginski
I am flying tests on my Valentina II project, a long range jet using the B9 Aerospace set, and inspired by the Handley Page Victor.Early versions were a bit unstable, and things sometimes exploded, but the current test flight is now more than half-way around Kerbin, using less than half the fuel, cruising at 250 m/s at 5000m, on slightly less than full throttle. I sis have a version with a tendency for the engines to explode. This version is sticking with the J33 and a well-place Basic Fin is helping get rid of some heat.I'm currently at 70° E.Go on, build a plane and fly around Kerbin.(Oh, and this flight is getting science too.) Val
For the past few days I've been working on designs for a "Single Stage to Laythe and Back" challenge.I quickly gave up on trying to do a design with Ion engines, so all my designs so far are a combo of RAPIERs and Nervas. Ranging from 1 RAPIER and 1 Nerva, to 8 RAPIERs and 4 Nervas.Javascript is disabled. View full albumI'm hoping 4.5 km/s dV in LKO is enough, with aerocapture and a little gravity assist. Now I just have to select one and go try the challenge, and I hope I don't burn up. annallia
I didn't do much today. Partially due to limited time, partially due to how ridiculously long it took me to test land, or rather crash a spaceplane into Duna. That being said... Did get an awesome view!Other than that I finally got around to launching my crew landers and assembling their ship, since the rover, life support, and utility ships are already enroute just need to wait for another Duna window to get this thing underway. P.S. I hate docking in the dark... yet I always foget to add lights!Edit- Forgot to mention, one thing that I think anyway is cool about the design of the ship. Once it reaches Duna and drops the crew pods it will separate the command module (right where the 1.25-2.5 adapter is not the one at the base of the command module but the one slightly obscured by the crew landers)and the engine module (just above the fuel tank) and redock, essentially dropping all of the mid section. The rover, habitat, and utility freighters will all dock together after dropping their payload, this ship will then dock with them and take all the remaining fuel for its return trip to Kerbin. Jouni
I recovered some more orbital debris.Early kerbonauts were definitely crazy when they went to space in those tiny tin cans. These days even space janitors on short-term missions get much bigger crew cabins.I'm also getting lazy with the screenshots. I rarely notice the "Autosaving..." text anymore. Varsi
Started a new career with a new set of mods recently and I've been having some interesting rescue missions.Earlier I had a Kerbal stuffed inside a mechjeb module. Brought her back safely (and the module itself since it obviously has no hatch to come out of) and now I have something slightly larger to bring back.Poor Moice is stuck inside OKS storage module. I was wishful I could somehow get her out by attaching a docking port on it and then docking it with the station but transferring is done by clicking on the hatch which storage module does not have She'll have to wait till I have bigger heatshields and I can try dropping her back on Kerbin. Xyphos
Today I learned, that I still haven't learned; even after 1000's of launches, I still forget to deploy solar panels before time-warping, and that expensive vacation trip to Jool just turned into a floating brick. JetJaguar
I downloaded a bunch of mods, a few of which change gameplay somewhat, so I started a new career game. It's interesting to see how things have evolved differently. I assumed I would mostly duplicate at least my early designs, but that hasn't been the case. Draconiator
I FINALLY finished my "Hyperspace Ring" analogue in KSP. I refueled it before taking a screenshot, yeah I'm weird like that:I had to completely refuel the thing when it got to orbit (on 4 Twin Boars)...and it's sort of counterproductive to refuel; I.E. it's ANNOYING AS HELL because of my fuel tanker weighing so much. Anyway, the thing has ~5600dV as shown, that will drop down with a small ship docked to it. Probably not a good way to get around the Kerbol system. heh

Technical Ben
I continued to fail to get my main launch vehicle to successfully land. When it is not overheating due to random bugs and real overheating issues, it fails to stay upright. I may just add a ton of SAS to it. But it has succeeded in launching a lot of things during my practice runs. Like this cargo transfer ion craft.Stock but with KAS/KIS cargo to transfer. I'm undecided on if it's best to use it for Mun/Minmus runs, as it has a lot of batteries to cope with eclipses etc, or send it to duna/jool with it's 3.5km/s DV. It has 179 parts as the tanks are removable. But as it performs quite well without the need for drop tanks, I may redesign it with less parts. the_bT
I built this:Can't decide if stupid or genius... probably stupid though It tried to kill me only three times on final approach... Well and twice while taking off. The one time in cruise, that doesn't count.
Geschosskopf
I spent about $400K to mount a fairly complicated expedition to pillage 5 out of 9 biomes on Minmus (with extra science available from DMagic). Because I hate grinding, I have 200% science rewards but this would have been a good haul under any circumstances:When I started this, I only had about 140 science in the bank, I returned about 5100, and transmitted about 3200, for a total over about 8300 for the expedition. Or about 4150 for those using 100% science rewards. And that was just 5/9 of the science available on Minmus. Not a bad haul, and nearly that much more still lying there for the taking. Kokanee
Had the weirdest bug ever today; capsule attempting to land back on Kerbin, when the parachutes deployed four rocket exhausts started to shoot out of the bottom of the capsule and were inexhaustible. DocSteel
I went into sandbox mode as a measure of caution before loading up my career mode save, sent one of my 1.02 landers into space and watched as the directional RCSes--just before achieving orbit--exploded in unison due to, apparently, radiated heat from the main orbital engine. After placing 2 gigantic radiator arrays on the offending engine/fuel tank and seeing absolutely zero noticeable difference in the build-up of heat, I just decoupled my lander and sent it back to Kerbin to land and finish the mission. The giant stowed solar arrays quickly exploded in the upper atmosphere--something that I hadn't expected with arrays that were packed back up and therefore weren't exposed--and the normally sufficient parachutes I had attached (which I remembered to open UNDER 250m/s) failed to provide enough drag to slow my vessel down more than about 10m/s resulting in a slow, but catastrophic landing which meant I wouldn't be recovering much in the way of funds or science if I tried this with my career mode save. Finally I just turned off KSP and went to play something else, more than slightly disappointed.I'm not sure where I stand on the game at this point. Despite the bugs, I was enjoying my career mode in 1.02 and was FINALLY getting my act together to get a mining/refueling operation set up on Minmus. With random things exploding for no good reason--and radiators that don't seem intuitive or, from my observations, functional--it's rather taken the wind out of my sails. I'm too far along in my current career mode game to willingly scrap it in favour of starting anew, but it seems that that's precisely what I might have to do given that it seems nothing I've sent into space before 1.04 will come back safely now and, indeed, may self-destruct due to no fault of my own apart from my inability to predict the future when it comes to somewhat drastic changes made to Kerbal physics.I've also read that aerobreaking/aerocapturing is, if not dead, then severely crippled, which is a shame. I really liked that aspect of interplanetary travel. I understand that some people want this game to be perfectly realistic, but you know, I think there are probably other games for that. Kerbin is not Earth. The solar system in KSP is not the same as our own. Why should we assume Kerbin is in the same type of universe we inhabit? I don't think the physics in the game have to EXACTLY copy our own--and yes, I know they don't, yet, but the calls for "realism" I see plastered across these forum pages seems rather extreme in a game where the entire race shares the same last name. What it all boils down to for me is that what kept me playing this game from early on in the alphas up until now has always been learning from my own mistakes to create something better and to set challenges that I work towards completing. The way aerodynamics in particular keeps changing with, seemingly, every patch, however, makes this nearly impossible for me to accomplish. I rather wish I hadn't had auto-update enabled so I could have kept my 1.02 KSP intact to at least finish out my career before having to learn the basics all over again.
