ToukieToucan
Jebediah decided to make a literal last minute EVA (less than a minute was left before reentry) Jeb lost some control but returned to the command pod with just 20 seconds left to spare, ofcourse he was awarded certified badass award for this stunt. cubinator
I landed and returned from Minmus today. Now I've got a ton of science to spend, I've used it to get a bunch of base-building parts for my future Minmus base. Unfortunately, I found that the KPBS-compatible oxygen containers from Kerbalism had disappeared! I'll have to get them back before I can start building my *awesome* base. ToukieToucan
Tragedy has struck the KNRI* (Koninklijk Nederlands Ruimtevaart Instituut**)(Royal Dutch Spaceflight Institute): Jebediah Kerman has been declared dead after a miscalculation: The pod was going just too fast to deploy the drogue chutes. Bigbootie
Continued with the Laythe mission. Long burn. Insertion into polar orbit with some nice eclipse effects happening. Undocked miner, only had to quicksand and reload twice and came close enough to where I needed to be. Unfortunately I hit quicksave 1 to many times and it's where I am gonna be no matter what. Once landed the lander preceded to slide down the hill at .8 m/s for at least 20 minutes real world time (seriously I got up, made coffee, and drank it) while I waited for everything to tip over or glitch out and explode. Didn't happen. 15 hours ago, The Budgey Admiral said: Well I flew my first SSTO to Minmus and back. Due to a fuel shortage i did a gravity assist around the mun and aerobraked in Kerbins atmosphere. After several passes and no significant speed loss i went in deeper the next pass. And the craft lost its wings...ima count this as mission accomplished! I would too. Great job Kommander! There's no actual hatch on that tiny hab unit.
blorgon
Still missing a few essential mods, so I haven't really been playing 1.1.1 so much as seeing how pretty I can make it, now that I've got the memory to spare. What I did today:

This however means, that you dont block it with other parts. Your kerbals can also enter the cabin through the hatch. 37 minutes ago, CatastrophicFailure said: They can't exit directly, you have to use the "transfer crew" option from the right click menu to move them to a part with a hatch. There's no actual hatch on that tiny hab unit. That is not correct. It actually has two hatches, just dont block them with parts. I have more detailed pics of the habitat in my craftfile thread. There you can see the hatch. Took me some time to figure it out, but it actually works. Edited April 30, 2016 by Frank_G

I clicked that hatch only, because the little window lit up, when i switched on the cabin lights. I discovered that feature by coincidence... flatbear
I made my first minmus space station. very pretty view and Does anyone know how to hack the bottom docking port to flip around? I didnt realize it was on backwards until I was already in orbit... D:
mielgato
+blorgon It's not as awesome as your video but I got lucky and saw a Mün eclipse today Edited May 1, 2016 by mielgato
LaytheDragon
Speaking of eclipses, I saw one while taking beauty shots in a test save (with this spare lander already on the Mun) to make sure the visual mods I have installed were working in 1.1.2. I also discovered that kerbals no longer like to slide forever on flat Munar regolith after hitting it at 10 m/s. Here's the full-sized album on Imgur, To see it slightly larger, press f11 (or fn+f11 if f11 doesn't work) while on the album on Imgur. The album doesn't want to embed correctly with all of the images after I added more images to the album. Bigbootie
Boat McBoatface to Laythe. BMBF is actually my Laythe plane refueler cleverly disguised as a jet boat. Cue the Miami Vice soundtrack here... Finally made it. Now all I need is to refill all those tanks and find a flatter spot to land my planes.

OverNyanThousand
Testing docking on an Apollo style mission in a "simulation". Ascended above kerbin then successfully docked and then for some reason went back to the space center, started building, then flying a spaceplane, and was notified by Kerbal Achievements that "congratulations, I had killed a crew member". Although her vessel was certainly not rated for mach 3 flight, Valentina seemed very much alive when suddenly I came to the horrific realization that I was going to be unable to revert my docking simulation. So I reverted, loaded the docker up, and sure enough, no parachutes, DV for circularization, heat shielding, or time to launch a desperate attempt at a "rescue mission". Today I got to watch Jeb, Bill, and Bob drop 480 kilometers into the atmosphere and be roasted alive like little green chesnuts before the command module exploded. At least they went fast, both in sheer velocity and in their demise... RIP

RizzoTheRat
I'm getting to quite like the challenge of doing multiple part test missions in the early game where I'm quite constrained on parts to build fancy craft. My latest creation was to test a wheesley, an XL parachute, and a radial parachute. Ignoring the Kelly Johnson school of engineering (if it looks ugly it'll fly the same), I came up with this abomination Flew surprisingly well, conducted both parachute tests, cur them free, and then tried to land back on the grass at KSC. Not the use of the word tried...
The Budgey Admiral
Well, I made a small mk2 Lander for moons and small planets to transfer crew and small payloads from a mothership to the surface and back up again. Not sure if it works, i will have to use it in my next voyage to minmus or mun or somewhere. Next, i tried to build an atmospheric Counterpart, a small, cool-looking SSTO, and ended up getting Inspiration from Vaos Human, and he got it from the DreamChaser Spaceplane. Mine looked good, had a Panther and 4 of These small LFO radial rockets. And of course it failed to get into orbit. So i was frustrated and made version 2 for Duna, it relies on an Aerospike for propulsion and parachutes help with the landing. I was surprised how far i came with this, so i strapped 2 Whiplash Engines on it and called it a spaceplane. Now it gets into Kerbin orbit, but only with very small ammounts of fuel left. and on other worlds, it would be a one-use thing since it drops the Whiplash when they run out of fuel. I will try to Transfer KSP into my Steam account now, my friend says ti is possible, and i could finally make some screenshots!
