I use these on my probes because they're fuel efficient, then I got to wondering how about using a bunch of them for a main rocket engine. The large tanks are a 3.75m from the novapunch pack. Below that is a 2.5m tank with 8 HOME radial areospikes and below that a 1.25m tank with 8 HOME radial areospikes. The array is pretty fuel efficient but that flame does terrible things to my framerate. Sorry I don't have any closer pictures of the engine arrays.

While you can accelerate faster with more engines, the added weight makes you not able to accelerate as much. 16 engines add quite a bit of weight; I'd expect that you could get at least 1km/s more dV more with fewer engines.
