What do you espect from next update?

Hi guys, we are not far away from 0.20 but why not to talk about the 0.21? For you, how will works the resource and scanning system? I personally think that a good thing to add should be an EVA system to connect miner and tug

I think the best thing to do: focus on 19.1 Because that's the version Squad has rolled out and we have our fun with. I had a long way to learn being confident with the things that are. And not being in first excited state on things that might be or are not. ;P

Cheer up, it's fun to speculate!

0.21 probably won't have the resources system. "implementing it later in development" doesn't mean 'implementing it the very next update'.

Still, there have been hints at what 0.21 will contain.

"The first implementation of the Career Mode in 0.21." is a quote from a developer that I think I heard somewhere.

Possibly some implementation of a finance system, a stash of monies, a way of getting more monies, parts costing you monies when you hit the launch button. Maybe getting new Kerbals after others... have accidents... will cost monies too. Could even have a simplified part-unlocking system (the basics of research). There are an awful lot of unknowns at this point.

Oh, and the space centre overview scene may get scrapped, or made a lot more useful than the 5 button option menu it represents.

I know I'm new to this forum and have only been playing KSP for a couple of months now but I am no stranger to forums. I'm an active member of a development group who rights and compile custom ROM's for Android devices and one of the biggest grips I have (as a developer) is that when we start to preview a new ROM or release it is people start looking for the next update.

I kind of sucks, you put in all of this time to rewrite, recode, debugging and then release it and some of the very first post in a device thread are about the next update and what it will include. Kind of kills the fun.

Like I said I haven't been playing KSP for very long now (started right before the 0.19 update) so my opinion may not count as much as some of the forum members that have been around for some time now but I say.... Let's see where the 0.20 update takes us.

Every update no matter if it's to a Android device, CPU os, program or game always introduces new and wanted features but the flip side is that along with those new features new bugs and such always creep up.

A bit difficult to speculate about .21 when .20 hasn't seen the light of day yet. Patience is a virtue.

...I think that making kerbals accumulate experience when going on missions and actually be more or less useful due to that experience would improve the gameplay more than limiting your space program's resources, at least at this point in development.

I have a feeling it is going to be about career mode with some more parts from the new devs (always need more parts )

Hopefully resources and bits of career mode plus general utility/graphical polish (new IVAs? remade parts like the 3-man spaceplane cockpit? more detailed planet surfaces?). Can't wait to see what Bac9 will make for it as his first work as part of Squad should see the light of day in that update. Maybe we'll see some work for on heatshields and the new aerodynamics system, but I think at this moment the devs are focusing on resources and career mode.

Still I'll be satisfied with whatever the devs opt to release next, all those things are bit heavy in the coding department so they will take time. We'll probably get some minor features along the way like we will in 0.20 with flags or general polish/new parts.

I just hope mining come out. I've been just hoping that mining will come out sin 0.18 came out. Really they could add mining and absolutely nothing else and I would be happy.

Definitely need resources, it's been pushed back enough times already. And from what I've seen (which admittedly isn't much) it doesn't look like the resources system won't be able to be finished by 0.21

A small implementation of career mode would also be nice

the thing that i most want but i know that they will not be in this update are:

-photovoltaic panels power according to the square distance.

-Minning resource, cost and reusable parts implemented.

-life support

-Effiecent use of memory and cores.

For the next update(.20). Lots of screen shots of Jeb in the new seat strapped directly to a SRB flying to his death.

For the update after that people complaining that the features they are waiting for not being in the update.
