I managed to tear myself away from making parts and actually PLAYED KSP! Here's the main section of my planned method for interplanetary excursions, using several of the spherical tanks:

This section acts as a mothership to transport everything needed to set up a base on another planet. Once there, the main rockets can be detached and this section will serve as the main station/refueling depot for that planetary body. At full load, it holds 96000 units of Kethane, 7160 units of Monopropellant, and 34560/42240 of LiquidFuel/Oxidizer. I may have overdone it a bit....

MAY HAVE??? O.o This is not possible in KSP until it can hold a half million of each. THEN you may have overdone things... Maybe~

That's nothing. I was planning a fuel depot that had 5 of the largest tank arranged around a custom 2.5m station hub with some comparatively tiny hab modules on the 6th side. I ended up reducing it to one tank as the station core because I couldn't figure out how to launch the thing. (And yes, I realize I could launch each tank separately and dock it together. I was trying to keep the part count down.)

I've made a group of configs for the new tanks that adds modular fuel systems compatibility as a separate tank type. Anyone interested?

It took a while to get that one up into orbit. I ended up doing it using 2 more large tanks as droptanks, and when I was finally successful getting it up to LKO and circularized, I had less that 500 units of rocketful left (out of a total of 4 large tanks full). I ended up custom making the trusses that I used in this one in order to keep the part count down, as well as to make them all have exact length measurements.

What is the problem with the "reply with quote" function? Every time I use it it just sits there with the little busy indicator and never goes any further.

Jewelshisen; I recognized the half sphere tanks on your ship. I was talking about the icons in your build tools. I recognize the b9 and fire spitter pods. I don't recognize the 4 at the bottom of the section though. The ones that are white with orange trim.

Did you make those or are they from a mod pack?

Any chance of a release that updates the O2 amounts to match the changes made to the most recent IonCross dev build?

I'll look into adjusting them to bring them in line on the next update

Gotta say, I love this mod. Always been a fan of spherical spacecraft. The only thing I disliked was the texture (reminded me too much of concrete) so I changed it and now it looks positively luvverly. :)

I just have one question: Are there any plans on making radial-mounted spherical fuel tanks?

I love these Tanks, I got a suggestion, the tanks take up 3-4 pages, any way to get it clickable and change contents, like stretchy tanks so I don't have 4 pages of spheres and half spheres?

I'd like this idea quite a bit, but I'm not a programmer so I'd have no idea of how to go about making a plugin to accomplish this. The other major roadblock to this (for me at least) is that right now this is just a parts pack, so game updates are unlikely to break it, but making it plugin dependent would probably make it susceptible. I have been looking at options on accomplishing this, since the pack got so large, however.

I'm glad you like the models! Texturing is definitely my weakest skill when it comes to making these (and the thing I get the most criticism about :) ) , so if you'd be willing to upload your custom textures to dropbox or something similar, I'd be more than happy to link it in the main post for other people to use as well.

I just have one question: Are there any plans on making radial-mounted spherical fuel tanks?

I have some ideas I've been playing around with for mounts specifically designed to go with these tanks for both radial and inline attachments, as well as other parts (such as command pods, crew tanks, cargo bays) that share the same design aesthetic. Once I get them in a mostly workable state, I'll post pics to see what you all think.

Mini Request, probably the only thing that bothers me in the whole parts set:

Medium tanks Do not have a version with a second choice in end connectors. It has 1.25m, but could definetly use a 2.5m end.

EDIT: And then it seems i've been running this with an older version
