Not to be a stick in yer rum pot, but seeings how I gets me arse into trouble at the very mention of me moniker....

I was just pointing out a possible issue, for those in the know, there is no distinction between pirates of old, and new, it's in the blood. In the olde days, it was gold, jewels, and such. For the new it's what ever costs or is of value to someone else. Once the term "pirate" gets thrown around, you are opening up a can of worms that will bring swift retribution from those in power. Originally freemen, pirates became hated, and now again loved by all.

I have found that on these forums, discussions of this matter tend to get negative reflections or are designed to weed out suspected pirates. If there is one thing the "Geek Squad" hates is pirates that would rather shoot the bloody thing than get it fixed. I speak from experience as where I ran a sword through a laptop cause it angered me. Easy come easy go. On these forums, I am a participant that is tolerated by most, in the real world, I am known simply as Pirate. I work on cars, have my own shop, known as Pirate Automotive. I dress the part, always has. I have declared myself for many years, Omaha's original and only pirate. I do know the code, and live by it.

But here, they can shred yer account and delete yer arse poke at ya and ya can't poke back. You wanna discuss pirates? Pm me. I can help, if not be cautious mate, the nervous inhabit these waters.....

Okay, How might I edit tha Title of this here thread? I be not well versed in things of th' sort.

I believe ya can ask a moderator. I gets idea of what ya was trying to do. Maybe edit the original post to include the terms, historical freemen, or gentlemen of fortune. If they complain, the conduct does not include historical discussions about famous persons such as Edward teach, famous or infamous, history is history. If they banned such discussions, the whole forum would be In trouble. But as for the word piracy, I actually changed me name to ThePyrateCaptain to avoid the word pirate, (olde English spelling)

There as we spoke, ya made a few friends. Now on with the discussions.

I would like to start by tellin ya about me ship and me crew....

I be Captain H.L.Morgan, was born to that name, (honestly) well not the Captain part, that came later. Me captaincy started about 11 years ago when a band of scurvey dogs who was playing pirates decided to elect a Captain, one of em knew me and by unanimous vote I was in. According to the old laws of this here land, if by decision a captain be appointed by more than the majority of a vote, then he be entitled all due the rank.

Me crew eventually drifted apart, I know where they be at all times, and once a year we gather in Tampa for the big celebration.

Me gear consists of, 8 flintlocks, a cutlass and saber. I had a boat a while back, but during Katrina, she foundered and sank. Ahh the sea had spoken. Nowadays in Omaha, why Omaha? Tis the last place the English would think to look.

I, Captain Rage097, don't remember much about me self y'see. Years ago, I found me self clingin' to tha side of a shoal of driftwood with nuthin' but tha clothes on me back and me glorious cutlass. I soon found a small fish hoistin' vessel and slaughtered her crew ta take th' ship fer me self! I worked me way up from thar. still don't be knowin' how I got me name.

Me gear be Dual flintlock pistols with ammo and me cutlass. me ship be The Spirit of Fire, still in ship-shape!

Arr, that be a hellish story matey. I'll be tellin' ya me story now.

I used to be the cannon pirate on one of me matey's ships. I can't remember what the name o' the ship was y'see, because I got hit in the head by thar cannon and i went to sleep. When I woke up I saw me matey's ship sailin' away, and I was on an island! I only had me clothes and a cannonball, and about 2 gold pieces worth of cannon powder. Now, another one o' me mateys showed me how to look for food and drink on islands, so I started a-lookin'. I found a few o' them yellow things that looked like one o' me pistols, and I found a wee bit o' drinkable water. Now, I was on that island for many a fortnight, but one day I got up early, and I saw a good-sized tradin' ship. I swum out to the ship and killed most o' her crew, keepin' a few to give me some crew for meself. From there I built that small ship up to be the finest warship for 300 Miles. Her name be The Soul Trader, and she's still goin' on. I don't know how I got me name either. I've asked a lot o' me mateys how I got me name, but they don't know either. I got me 4 Flintlock pistols, 2 Cutlasses, 1 Sword I pludered from one of those British ships, 1,000 gold pieces worth of Cannon Powder, and a collection over 50 ships sailin' all of the seven seas. I still got that cannonball from the island, and i'll be givin' it to one o' me crew If I die. I sail The Soul Trader all by meself, and i've even made a little mechanism to allow a matey to fire and load up the cannons from the captain's chair. Me mateys from me 50 ships meet up once a year on the south pole for 5 weeks to total up the gold and have a good time. We plunder beer food and gin from the trading ships before we meet up, and we drink it all up.
