rapperfee
Share pictures of your replicated aircraft here. It must be based on some kind of fictional or real world aircraft. It has to resemble the original aircraft as closely as possible with any kind of mods. The main goal is for the appearance. Functionality is just a bonus. Here's an example. here's my SR-71 replica and it can even get into orbit. It also has thrust vectoring (I put 2 rocket engines at front and 2 at the back) so it can perform STOL only taking 1/4 of the runway before it lifts off. Here you can see the thrust vectoring rockets underneath Here's the ADF-01 Falken from the Ace Combat video gamesHere's the X-wing fighter from Star WarsThe F-22The Su-47 Berkut, a forward-swept wing experimental aircraft. One of my favorites and really really easy to control without stalling. I can probably turn 180 degrees in about 5-10 secondsHope you like them! Monkthespy
F-8 Crusader, fairly accurate to the real thing.

Cipher29
Here's my A-10C, comes with unguided bombs and rockets. Isn't as decorative as some of the ones I've seen (especially since I don't use part clipping), but it flies fairly well even fully loaded.Bombing the VAB:Firing rockets at the tracking station:
The Error
-snip-Ugly, slow, and non-clipped?I like it.

Johnno
rapperfee's opening post and images inspired me to do a SR-71 Blackbird as well, love the aircraft but haven't tried making one in Kerbal before. Looks were a breeze compared to tweaking it enough to fly! Still working on it, doesn't quite make orbit just yet. Should be mentioned though I've never successfully made an SSTO, this is actually my first airplane that flies well, not to mention I've made my first ever aircraft landing in it (after its first actual flight, unpowered descent from 10km). Thanks for the inspiration rapperfee!
rapperfee
very impressive! and no problem. it seems yours is a bigger version than mine. Actually, the SR-71 I posted was my 4th version. the 1st version I did was way too large so I decided to downsize it because of the issues with the controls during flight and the really bad wobble through the aircraft. I realized that a smaller version was easier to control and had more speed. mine can even reach speeds of around 500 m/s inside the atmosphere. lol you should've seen how much struts I used under the aircraft. it was crazy!
