Kerbal Astronomic Naming Society

KANS is a new society designed to recognize names on all worlds. Unlike other ignorant naming societies, KANS operates as a group of members who all recognize a select group of names. As such, KANS recognizes those who do not agree with the names suggested by KANS.

Inside KANS, a detailed strategy for selecting names is at place to make sure that the names respect the interest of the game base. The following are rules implemented in KANS.

- #1 All voting takes 1 week and is majority rules.

- #2 A challenge may be given to previous names. On large votes, 4 challengers are required, and over 135% of the original approval vote is required to start a normal vote for the exact same area. A maximum of 2 of the 4 challengers could have already voted against the area.

- #3 Any staff member is allowed to restart a vote if he/she finds the name inappropriate or insulting to specific members.

Names cannot conflict with a long-standing name as decided through the forums. In recognition of KGSS (an already existing but smaller and near-inactive naming society), KGSS names will eventually be implemented into KANS and will be available for challenge and recognition.

I was just thinking back to the KGSS, and how they had a uniform submission form for geographical features. Currently, the KANS doesn't have anything of the like, so I thought I'd design a form for common use in the Society. Here she is:
