[1.1.3] Large Structural Components [24th August 2016]

Recommended Posts

Forgive me, but not sure what PMA is. =S

Thanks though.

No problem! The PMA is the Pressurized Mating Adapter used on the ISS to connect two different sized docking nodes. Do you think you could make the same thing as the Lean but going from 2.5m to 1.25m?

Really enjoying seeing these new parts, here's what I'm doing with them:

You got the contract for the central node of my new station, the four crossroads modules on the left are a single unit, with large CBMs for expansion modules and windows to watch the modules and perform important astronomical observations. The crossroads are perfect for the spine of the station. You can also see an RCS fuel tank, a couple of tenders and a pair of Titan launch vehicles.

Looking forward to the hydroponics.

This is nice, glad to see my parts have been of use to you.

I really love the models and the lights for this. However, I'm really confused by all of the values you set-the weights are huge, and is there a reason for why the basic aisles and corridors require 30 energy a minute to run? You might say that the electricity required is actually more balanced than the stock parts, but the stock illuminators take 2.4 and 1.2 electricity per minute, and I'd like it to be closer to those values.

EDIT: I now understand that it is intended for use with the Nucleus. Also, I seem to have a problem with ladders and these new models. I can't climb to a stock capsule from the installed ladders on these models.

I've wanted stuff like this in KSP for a while. I'll wait until you get IVA views in to download it, but parts like this are why I really want to be able to move around inside modules with interiors, and be able to go from one module to the next while staying inside of it.

You should make a science module that (when you create the interior) has a who bunch of computer monitors in it.

I'm really enjoying this pack. I have a question/request though. Is it possible to make a 1.25m version of the generator "Nucleus"? I realise that this a "Large" Component pack, but the generator looks so cool that I would love to use it on smaller crafts also. Or would I be able to do that myself by adding "rescaleFactor = 0.625" to the config file? Sorry, I'm not too savvy with making changes to the config file. Anyway, great work mate, keep it up :)

Normally I create reasonably normal stations with this pack, but the new Lean modules made this Interplanetary Passenger Liner impossible not to make.

...and that's the coolest thing I've seen in KSP in ages...

Downloading this just for the 'lean'. Is it possible to create a bigger one, as in, longer, so that it can form a ring around something in the middle? Like...

(/ = lean, [] = hub cube, | - = straight parts)

..../.[].\

.../..|...\

.[]--[]--[]

...\..|.../

....\.[]./

What are your plans for Hydro-Gro?

Oh and love the 3 new parts since the last time I was here.

The Hydro-Gro is the first of many Factory Components, it will effectively use resource(s) and generate a new one.

In this case, it will use ElectricCharge, Water & IntakeAir(Atmosphere) to generate Oxygen.

I have started writing a plugin to handle this, though I know that the Generator Module would be ample; I have some more advanced things planned for under-the-hood.

Factory? I hope we can have an Orbital Ship Construction feature!

You just made building my refueling depot around Kerbin so much easier, though it did have an interesting side effect.

Its kind of dark because I forgot lights on the first two modules, but you can see the crew and power modules here...

and why it earned the name "Flashlight"

Thanks again and I can't wait for whatever else you add!
