oh! quick idea but what if you made the middle track tire axle thingy animated so it COULD be a triangle with the menu button?

As good an idea as this is, I think it would cause some visual issues with stretching the treads, and morphing them in odd ways.

In a serious note, I am looking forward to this revival. Have you considered making a track that has dual functionality, if the entire vehicle flips over?

Yes, I did just link an image of a battle-bot.

The original pack had a set that could do that and will be compatible.

Now I miss Battlebots... ok, mostly just Diesector.

Yes, I did just link an image of a battle-bot.

Like 6.forty says, the old pack has flippable tracks, they work pretty well. I will be making an updated version of those too.

This is a good point (I just hijacked the thread of the old tracks without considering this, brainfart on my part). I'd be very appreciative if a mod could move this to the addon development area.

There is an earlier version available in spaceport, but isn't very compatible with 0.23

release soon plz! skillful has already been released T.T tank connons without tank treads.... NUUUUUUU

EDIT: i was just joking. just try your best and get this released with the best you can do!

I'm with you there. Every time I see an update or post by electronicfox I'm hoping it will be a release announcement. ;) Especially after having tried the older ones only to discover they looked good but didn't work.

Great to see you guys looking forward to all this! I'll let you know now then that the plugin side is coming along well, 6.forty is doing a great job with that. It should also be fully compatible with the older tracks, so when the plugin is ready for a release I will pack that up with the older tracks first, and separately with the crawler/mobile platform set. Then after the new tracks are completed, and their new parts (there will be new parts coming too, mostly adapters and structural parts. I'm also making some rocker-bogie systems, because theyre just missing from KSP altogether for some reason). When a new pack is released, I will rename the thread accordingly.
