Has anyone on here designed and/or built a Space Ark that can, theoretically, reach interstellar destinations? If so, is it for role playing purposes or other purposes?

theoretically, my colony ship that can hold up to 25 kerbals could make interstellar space, but it was designed in such a way that it needs an external drive core to be interplanetary in a solar system or else it would run out of fuel before getting half way to Duna. I would have to "redesign" the drive core (that is, add a Sr docking port on the bottom since all the engines are on the side) so it can store more fuel.

There have been lots of large craft made by players, but it's pretty hard to know if you have really escaped Kerbol as there's no other destination yet.

KSP can say you are "on an escape trajectory out of the sun" though, if you manage that then you aren't coming back any time soon

You will definitely not be coming back unless you use mass amounts of delta-v
