Favorite star

I like this one. Nice composition, colourf... eh I mean redshiftfull. Already saving money for a better telescope to watch my favorite star. Might have to launch it into space to make it "visible"...

I don't like Vega. Too bright. Always hurts my eye when I accidentally aim at it when starhopping with my telescope.

EDIT: wow that arrow! I swear it looked smaller in photoshop!

betelgeuse as It`s overdue to go nova along the scale of 18th century china or gleise581 due to all the planets.

Yeah I would love it if we got to see betelgeuse go supernova. It would make for a spectacular nebula eventually, too!

Barnard's Star, because when I played Frontier: Elite II, was one of most visited system....

Also it is one of nearest to Sol ( 6 Lyr. )

Barnard's star is also cool because it's moving so fast in relation to everything else around us

My favorite is Algol, because it's the "Demon Star"

The Crab Pulsar. I read a shortish story from the late 90s about it. Very interesting. It's called "Hatching the Phoenix" if anyone would like to google it.
