I have a pretty retarded question I need to ask,

What exactly does the comnitron and the other small attenna thing do? I figure it has to have a purpose but I can't figure it out, or maybe I'm just not using it right.

They are just for show at this point in time.

There is no use for it now. It is merely aesthetic. You can open it by right clicking it, but that's it.

I would recommend the RemoteTech mod if you'd like it to actually work. It makes probes and such communicate with each other.
