Click the picture for full sized version (Its around 1300 X 1000!)

My not-that-good-but-still-okay render of Laythe. Jool is visible in the background. Bop and Vall are visible too, but might be hard to find (See if you can find them!). Its not completely finished. I still need to find a bump map of Laythe (The one on the wiki didn't work) and find a way to make more realistic stars.

Laythe's texture courtesy the KSP wiki: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/File:KSP.EXE_0x69D82224.png

EDIT: Gave Laythe a bump and spec map. Jool now looks like a giant watermelon. I'll work on the star-field next.

If you really want to know where Bop and Vall are read no, if not close your eyes!

Bop is the little brown dot to Jool's lower left. Vall is the blue dot to Jool's right. You can see their specularity (shininess) in the full size images.

You want stars, huh? If you have GIMP (and I know you made this picture in Blender, but I shall continue anyway :P), then check this awesome tutorial out:

Starfield Tutorial.

It allowed me to make this:

Anyway, Laythe does look good, and the bump map will make it look better. As for Jool, give it fewer stripes of varying thickness, then smudge those stripes into the light/darker shades of green to create regions that look affected by winds (if you can do that in Blender, of course. I wouldn't know ).

Made a quick spec and bump map for Laythe. It looks a hundred times better now! Used the ramp feature to make Jool look a little better.(Now its a stripy watermelon!) I'm still looking for a way to make a realistic starfield. I'm thinking for taking a screenshot of space in KSP, and applying that picture as a texture to cube. Then making the cube large enough to surround the render making a literal skybox.

Ahh, Laythe. The perfect calm an peaceful paradise. Temperatures barely reaching +6 degrees and never dropping below a confortable -40. Vast beaches and beautiful views. The Joolrise acompanied by Tylo and Bop at the horizon.
