I'm looking forward to the new kerbal recruit DanRosas is working on. Maybe we will get different kerbals to display in the rocket and hopefully Spacesuits in new colors. Orange for the "Veterans" Jeb Bill and Bob, White for Astronauts and blue for recruit.

Wait just one gosh darn second! My suit is blue, so blue MUST be for awesome people. I'm just kidding.

ANYWAYS:

I am looking forward to this update, as it is more major then .20, AND I can assign crew to my hab modules as to prevent a 5 hour long load up

process for the kerbals. It will make it much more easy than having a bunch of kerbal buses. Also, you can apperently assign kerbals to ANY part...

I'm a bit scared with the level of reading comprehension these days. Not trolling, but what is not clear in that sentence that they are talking about patch 0.21?

Just pointing this out because I'm surprised nobody else has: Not everyone on these forums speaks English as a first language. Many readers, and indeed even the writer of the sentence in question, may live in a non-English speaking country. I'm willing to cut people some slack because their English is far better than my Spanish, German, Tagalog, Mandarin, Russian, etc...

I am also curious as to what the Astronaut Training Complex will look like.

Monkey bars. There has to be monkey bars. How on Kerbal can you be qualified to fly a space ship and not handle the monkey bars?

They didn't forget. It just wasn't a priority.

you don't seem to know what you're talking about. The finished product was shown to us, and later on one of the developers said that they forgot to add it. This was SAID by the devs

Someday I would like a little room in the VAB that has a computer where I can run simulations.

For starters, something simple like seeing my staging setup in action on a little wireframe rocket. Later I would like to be able to plan my entire mission to Eve using this simulator, then download my mission program to a chip that I plug in to my rocket.

Thats a very good idea actually. They should add that

I'm just hoping that either resources or career mode comes with 21. It's actually hard for me to get motivated to play KSP at the moment....

Prepare for disappointment. Career mode won't be until the end of the year at the earliest, and at the rate they're going, resources will probably show up right after we start resourcing asteroids in real life.

You realize resources were going to be realesed in .19 originally?

Which is why they're... where now, exactly? Did they sneak them into 0.20? Or the 0.21 patch notes?

If they were even remotely close to ever having been done with them, why would they suddenly just give up on them and move on to some BS astronaut training center garbage?

Dude... as much as I would like to see the resources as well, this is just a game PART... it doesn't mean anything else, than that some of the designers had some free time and this idea to make something like this... maybe they were just talking about that in their team and he came up with this idea... we don't know, but it's surely not a bit of a proof of resources coming in the next few updates... I guess it's a long term goal that cannot be accomplished just like that... pretty much things to be done until that...

This is actually quite clever. You should add it as a suggestion to the "KSP Development" section.

I also remember a Dev blog talking about resources and showing a bunch of pictures of scanners and a flow chart, like these:

Most accurate IQ tests are made from about 60-80 questions. It takes about 2 -3 hours to complete them all, and you are under supervisor when filling them.

The final score is not based on 1question = +1IQ, but very strange, strange pattern. Like if I was wrong at question 1, you were wrong at question one, but checked different answer, we would have both different score.

Altough they will test you to what they think IQ currently means, which is very hard definition which changes from time to time, so the tests do too.

Still not even close.

I.Q. would be measured over several days consisting of multiple tests that go beyond a simple "60-80 fill in the blanks".

Take the short term retention tests, inform the person of a set of words "Chair", "Rose", "California", "Pencil" and if the person remembers them after 30 min in the order presented repeat with a new word added, (During this time doing active simulation questions).

I mean, you even have "Mental Reversal" where you're testing short term memory and the ability to actively apply information on it. (Given a set of numbers, reverse the order of the numbers.)

And that is still dealing with Logic / Reason. Other forms of testing can reveal exceptional control over the body (i.e. Dancers) or find extreme abilities in persuasion (Politicians.) While we typically view IQ as being Logic / Reason it is not the only aspect that is tested.

(Heck, while you're at it; I'd do a few personality inventories. Would help form the test to specifically target your own strengths / weaknesses.)

Of course, the really funny thing about IQ is that people don't understand that it is a percentile system; the average IQ is defined at 100... and it is separated out into fields, not all inclusive. (Yes, you could have an IQ test for 'common sense') It gets rather funny considering how insanely high EVERYONES score is (with the free online tests) because it should be weighted against each other.

Eitherway, yeah; I'm kind of bored right now ;p

Not having resources is like not having minerals in StarCraft, its still a game, but no ones going to play it. There's only so much "exploration" of barren empty planets you can do until you realize they are just useless rocks of different color. This game has no purpose because core mechanics aren't in yet, but it doesn't help when one of the core mechanics was planned for .19 was pushed back to 2013 Q3 or Q4 or 2014? Core mechanics like refueling, orbital construction, colonization, or adding purpose to go to other planets is what should be worked on, not re-texturing VAB, redesigning SAS, astronaut recruitment center, crew management GUI, flags, seats, etc. They are all good additions to the game but get your priorities straightened out and create core of the game.
