Kerbal Rescue!

Recommended Posts

Due to a botched Jool mission, three brave Kerbalnauts, Fredvey, Ferley and Bartsey Kerman are stranded on Laythe. Public opinion on the space program is an all time low and the dwindling confidence of the Kerbal government means that the Space Program is on the brink of cancellation. Jeb has proposed one final solution, and the Kerbal government has given him his last blank check to build a rescue mission for the stranded Kerbals. If successful, the story will re-ignite the public's interest in SPAAAACE and secure the future of the Kerbal Space Program.

Your mission, my dear Kerbal Engineer, is to design a rescue vessel for Laythe. However, you are restricted to a single launch, due to the public outcry on space safety.

Mission Briefing:

*Restricted to a single launch carrying all that you need.

*This is not a SSTO launch, so you can have multiple stages to your craft. No limit on the stages added.

*Mods with Kerbal Engineer, Protractor and other mods for navigation are allowed, however rocket parts are vanilla only.

Rescue all 3 Kerbals and Return them to Kerbin Safely

In the coming hours (days?) I will be also posting my progress (and failures) to rescue the Kerbals. Failures will be considered a game over and the Kerbals cancel their space program. But you're allowed to just start over again and pretend you've reset the timeline to give it another go. If you can get a continuous mission from launch, to return, the challenge is completed and you are a Kerbal hero! :D

I am going to do this.

First, I am seeing a lack of scoring, may be rank based on tons at launch or as I like more, the least time to put in safety the 3 kerbals, because them are with cold/hunger/fear

Thinking about the public opinion, they will let another kerbal to going to rescue? I think that if a unmanned craft goes to rescue, the chances of failure will rise and a last manned mission will be allowed, so the craft must be manned.

So I ask for these changes:

1) make a scoring based on tons at launch / time to put in safety all kerbals

2) at least one kerbal aboard to give medical assistence.
