I've decided to offer my flag making services to the world. Just request a flag, and I'll make it in glorious 17 x 9 pixel format. Optionally, I can scale it up to the sizes KSP demands for flags.

Here's some examples of my work:

I'm fairly experienced, having made over 300 of them .

I'd like a flag! Something that just expresses the true essence of... Panichio. Could I have it in both small and large?

I like dark/warm colours. Contrast is cool as well, like the white lines in your avatar.

Couldn't get it 17 x 9 pixels, though. What do you use to make them? I have nothing good so I used 'Piq', but that doesn't allow you to actually draw in the size of pixels as far as I know.

It's pretty hard to squeeze things into the 17 by 9 px format, but I did the flag of St. Pierre & Miquelon once and this is ~10⁴ times easier.

How do you make it smooth. Mine look smoth on the flag, but not that smooth.

Open it up in paint and draw on the smoothness manually. No easy way to do it, I just smear diagonal lines on it until it looks vaguely presentable.
