Being a software engineer myself, I would be very surprised if it is out any sooner than July 25th -- it's all "new" stuff, not just tweaks to what is already there .... which always takes longer to test and fix.

WHAT??? I have just stripped my mods off and verified my Steam files in readiness. I have stopped playing KSP until the patch hits as well ... oh well onto Crusader Kings 2 for a while longer, or should I complete my second run through of Half Life 2? Questions questions....what to do....

My feeling is that it is time for an update. I hope they didn't hire the new experimental team for this update. It would be a little late.

And I'm not that hyped for the new features yet, exept of the redone mun.

One remark: Don't forget the interior of the Hitchhiker Storage Container, this time. ;-)

Hehe, calm down! The 0.21 update is currently in QA, after that is has to go through experimentals before it's released

I can't wait for the experimentals phase to start and for the developers squeeze out every little bug we can find so the release is as good as it can be

This is how it allways been.. dont think they change the way they work..

I eagerly await 0.21 like anyone else, but i expect an announcement soon that it is out of QA and enters Experimental Testing in a week or so, since they started now too communicate these kind of things alot more.

So i doubt i be playing 0.21 any time sooner as end of july or early august, till then i just have fun with the current version.

On a slightly related note, what exactly does the "experimental phase" mean; it seems to me it would be QA after the experimental phases

apparently experimental phase seems to be the phase they send out release canidates to a volunteer team of people to test out for bugs that the devs and QA may have missed. QA team can't catch everything so i guess squad put in place another measure that sends the build out to a slightly larger base for testing before public release

Update is in experimentals! Shouldn't be long, although time varies. Last one was like a week so I'd put my bet no later than the end of July. At least I'm going camping with my troop at Yosemite next week so won't have to worry about "technology" until the 20th.

Let's be realistic; if that was even remotely true, we'd still be waiting for 0.14 and persistence.

0.21 should be out within a week given the history of updates so far.
