The Final Frontier: Space Programm

Hello fellow Kerbonauts,

This will not be a single Challenge but instead a pack of Missions you can start as a very beginner. But don't worry experts: this will soon get harder.

General Rules:

BYOC- Bring your own craft

It looks like it could be real 10pt

It actually happend that way 10pt

Loose a Kerbal -10pt

Story Time, do Missions one after the other 10pts each (there will be optional Missions)

Mods are allowed as long as they make it more fun, harder or just look better (don't mecjab auto ascent/landing)

Try to be efficient: dont launch a small satellite with the mainsail engine.

A Kerbal is considert save when he is at the KSC. This applies also for rocket tests!

If your Command pot lands in the ocean you have to get them back.

[Mission 1: The Sputnik]

Goal:

Put a satellite over 65km 10pts

Play the Sputnik sound 5pts

Make it orbit 10pts

Restrictions:

No RCS

No SAS

No Orbital Map view (its okay after decupling all the engines)

No extra Batteries

[Mission 2: Human Spaceflight]

Goals:

Put a Kerbal over 65km 15pts

Fly with Juri Kerman 5pts

Make it orbit 10pts

Restrictions:

No RCS

No SAS

No Orbital Map view (its okay after decupling all the engines)

Realitiy bonus: 3 Stages, 2 of them ignite at Launch. Highest point in Orbit is not over 70Km

[Mission 3: Project Gemini]

Goals:

Bring a 2 Kerbal Craft to Orbit 15pts

Eva and get 100m away 5pts

Dock another gemini craft or satallite 10pts

Restrictions:

No maneuver note

Realitiy bonus: 2 Stages for the launch

[Mission 4: Syncom]Optional!

Goals:

Bring a satellite to GTO (Geostationary transfer orbit) 10pts

Bring it to GSO on its own 5pts

Bring it to GEO on its own 5pts

Over KSC ? 10pts for beeing awsome

Restrictions:

No maneuver note

[Mission 5: Apollo 7]

Goals:

Build a Saturn IB like rocket 10pts

Build the Command Module 10pts

Perform reentry test

Restrictions:

No maneuver note

Realitiy bonus: 2 Stages for the launch

[Mission 6: Venera]Optional!

Goals:

Bring a Probe to Moho 10pts

Crash it HARD! 5pts

Take pictures with the camera mod while you crash 5pts

Land it soft 10pts

[Mission 7: Apollo 8]

Goals:

Add a 3rd Stage to your rocket 5pts

Orbit Moon 15pts

Use a free-return trajectory 10 pts

Get everthing done (no lost Kerbal or rescue mission, no second attempt) 5pts

Restrictions:

No maneuver note

Realitiy bonus: 3 Stages for the launch, Decouple after Translunar injection and only fly the CSM (Command Module)

[Mission 8: Apollo 11]

Goals:

Build the Lander 5pts

Orbit Moon 5pts

Use a free-return trajectory 10pts

2 stage lander 5pts

Land at Memorial (1Km) 10pts

Get everthing done (no lost Kerbal or rescue mission, no second attempt) 5pts

Make a nice picture with the flag 5 pts

Make a video and play Apollo 11 soundfiles at importend points: all my love and another 15pts

Restrictions:

No maneuver note (i wont throw you out if you use target function after the Mün ascent)

Realitiy bonus: Leave the first lander stage on the Mün, Switch the lander and CSM after Translunar injection, Land on water and bring them home(KSC) save, 2 Kerbals EVA on the Mün.

Future Plans:

Apollo 13

Apollo 17/15 (Rover and Satallite)

Skylab/MIR then Space Shuttle Missions and build Syklab up to ISS

Optional X-Plane Programm

Voyager Missions ( pale blue dot/ is a family portrait Possible?)

Gravity Assists and Aerobreaking practice

Duna Rover Missions

if we have enough attendees we will go on until we leave the solar system for good!

So far:

All points on sputnik +45 points

Human Spaceflight +55 (totally forgot about the name)

After a small reset and a rescue Airship Mission Gemini is in Space...
