How to stop KSP from crashing?

I'm running the Linux KSP, but the game crashes when I try to load a save. It creates saves just fine, but it just won't load them. Even if I click settings at the main menu it crashes.

How many mods do you have on the game? shouldn't be the problem but it's always a good to know. And what are your system specs? Are you sure they're above the recommended specs?

Recommended System Specs:

* 2.0Ghz Dual Core CPU or higher (preferably higher)

* 4GB RAM

* 512MB Video Card, Shader Model 3.0

* 1GB Free HD space

* Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8

* An Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 or higher

* A Debian based Linux distro

A lot of weird problems simply go away if you reinstall KSP. Last time I had to do that, the load button wouldn't work at all, and that fixed it.
