Bob is Missing

I did a little mission to Minmus last night and successfully completed my first moon landing (thanks to Scott Manley). I had Bob leave his capsule and bounce around on the surface for a few minutes and then I quit the game, ready to do the return journey today...

...Only I've loaded up the game, the lander is still on Minmus, but Bob is nowhere to be found.

Should I have put him back is his capsule? Did he run out of air (is that possible)? Where could Bob have gone?

He probably glitched through the surface and then exploded with a puff sound.

Was he on the ladder? I had a kerbal vanish once when he was hanging onto a ladder when I quit the game.

It could also simply be that you accidentally clicked "End flight". I've had that happen to me before.

He took off his helmet and started to test Minmus ice cream surface components. Because snacks were all consumed.

Seriously: I had that once. Short time after, the persistent file couldn't be loaded anymore. That was back in 0.19-days. Never had that again and forgot about it. And I couldn't redo the behavior since then.

Eh, it's Bob, who cares? S'not like anything of value was lost. Now if that was Jeb that you lost, I'd be worried.

Yes, this does sound like something I'd do... and probably did. What happens to Bob if I end the flight? Can I not resume it?

You clicked ''End Flight'' didn't you?

Try launching a new rocket and see if it is maned by Bob.

If it is you probably clicked End Flight while on EVA with him.

If it is not then he probably died.
