KSP future

I'm just wondering, will KSP remain with this style, NASA like, or will it include tech advancements, sci-fi elements, and and look a bit more like star trek for example?

It's staying within range of realism. One day we might have interstellar travel, along with some FTL drives or things like that, but the core of the game will remain NASA like. At least that's what they're heading towards to for now.

Note some mods have more advanced engines, multiple fusion engines, an bussard ramjet and an orion pulse engine.

Heck Orion Nuclear Pulse is an old idea. Mad too but still old.

My guess for what it's worth (i.e. not much) is that there will be several styles of parts, different tech levels for different eras of space technology and with B9's parts at the high end of that spectrum.

I'm hoping we will eventually get sci-fi parts because it would make it a ton easier to get to other planets and do stuff. (And it would be more fun)
